Pushing past basics

So after playing with spectrum basic for a while I decided to move on to Z80 assembly and machine code to see if I could learn to code that for the future of the game. Z80 is bloody tricky stuff, but I'm slowly getting an idea of how its meant to work.

The actual Card RPG I havent had much of a chance to develop further, the next step is the chatracter generation though. So in the next couple of days / weeks thats still the aim to nail down how character generation is going to be done.

As part of learning gamedev on the good old zx spectrum I took an older game I had made using gamemaker, easy as 123, and built it with zx spectrum basic. you can play it using the TAP file here (https://terlan.itch.io/easy-as-123)

that was just a wee fast test and I was happy with how it worked, but I think for the card based RPG, it might need a bit more grunt so the machine code / assembly should hopefully get me what I need for it. Once I know exactly what IT is.
